Project 6

This is the sytrus and riff machine project. The one synth plays an under pattern while the second synth plays weird patterns over it. During this a light drum beat happens along with a bass pattern. The interlude section is slower paced with the same basic idea of one synth "soloing" over the second. The song then goes back to the original pattern to close it out.

  1. this is really good, it's simple but not boring. I like how the two synth sounds overlap each other, I think that's what made this loop sound cool.

  2. This is out there. You are stretching the limits of what a synth can do here. I'm following the progression, but the sounds change so much because of your settings, it's hard to follow. Your bass can come up in the mix.
    I like the bridge.

  3. This reminds me of the "touch fuzzy get dizzy" level of Yoshi's Island on SuperNintendo. I actually don't know why I know that, because I don't play video games often. That's the first thing I thought of, though. I like the idea of your piece, with one synth playing over the other one. I did the same thing, but not to the extreme you did. For the most part, I think what you did works pretty well. It gets a little annoying to listen to after a while, but the relative simplicity of your bridge fixes that. All in all I think this is very good, but I might have taken out one synth for part of each pattern, so you could clearly hear them individually. Nice job!

  4. I like the synth sounds like some crazy 80's techno, rave music. The simple drum loop sounds good, but for me I'd prefer a much faster drum loop with more bass drums. The bass loop is really quiet I can hardly hear it. Reminds me of band practice. The synth really reminds me of a sonic game. Good Job
